Warhol on Things

Andy Warhol was famous for knowing a thing or two about art.

What's less well-known about him is that he knew a thing or two about things as well.
Stare at the things above for approximately two hours
- you will indeed find that things have lost all of their meaning.

Many thanks to Carol Thielen for the inspiration!

Keep A Close Eye On Things

by Administrator 6. August 2009 22:22

Send this thing: send this thing

Sometimes, things escape our attention.
Things can sneak under the radar.
Things can simply pass us by.

So, always - always - keep a close eye on things
.
Especially if you've been left in charge of things.

Things Have Taken An Unexpected Turn

Oh, the best laid plans of mice and men. They go astray. Oftly.

Apologies for the lack of things lately. Other things have intervened
and I have had lots of things on my plate.
Normal service will be resumed.  Whatever that might mean.

If it's not one thing, it's another

Introducing your easy "spotters" guide to things.
It's quite simple and it goes something like this.
If it's sort of roundish and looks rather like a splodge of paint, then it's one thing.
If it looks like a pair of miniature rubber gloves has been grafted onto a hairdryer attachment  - then it's another.

In next week's class we'll learn about a tribe of Bolivian things who remained undetected
and untroubled by modern civilisation for several centuries, the impact of their being discovered
and the broader issue of indigenous things versus the modern world.

Draw A Line Under Things

by Administrator 27. February 2009 20:10

It's done and dusted!
The race has been run!
It's over!
The Fat Lady has sung!
Time's Up!

Just a few of the exclamations that would indicate that things have run their course.

But, since things aren't good athletes it may also be that these other indicators are present:
breathlessness, muscle cramping, vomiting, heavy sweating and dizziness.
